July 12, 2010- Boston, MA- WBIX Corporation, headed by Alexander G. Langer agreed to sell WBIX to Holy Family Communications for $1 million cash plus a $500,000 tax-deductible donation to the Catholic broadcast group. WBIX is licensed for 40 kW-day and 2.5 kW-night at expanded band 1060. Langer says the business news format will remain on the air until closing, which is likely to be in September. Langer owns stations in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh and WSRO (650) in the Boston Arbitron. Holy Family CEO Jim Wright says the group sees Boston as a good market with a large Catholic population.

May 6, 2010- Washington D.C. - A historic event has taken place in our Nation’s Capitol as Huffines Media, LLC closes on its purchase of WMET 1160 AM (Gaithersburg, MD) from Beltway Acquisition, a division of IDT Corporation.  WMET 1160 AM transmits a powerful 50,000 watts across Washington D.C., Northeast Virginia and Western Maryland and will now broadcast the first 24-hour Catholic programming in the area.  The selling price was $4 million dollars. This is the first entry into radio ownership for Huffines Media, LLC.

May 6, 2010- Norfolk, VA- Stuart Epperson’s Chesapeake- Portsmouth Broadcasting closes on its purchase of WHKT AM-Norfolk, VA from Radio Disney for $350,000.00. WHKT is expanded bank 1650 with 10,000 watts day and 1,000 nighttime.

March 9, 2010- Greensboro, NC - Don Curtis of Curtis Media- Raleigh has just agreed to purchase WCOG from Radio Disney. The agreed price is $350,000 cash. WCOG was originally owned by the city of Greensboro. Broker for Radio Disney: Bill Schutz, Schutz & Company.

February 1, 2010- Alchemy II Broadcasting, LLC closes on its purchase of WCIN, Cincinnati, OH (1480) from American Broadcasting, LLC for $600,000.00.
New ownership has changed call letters to WDJO,
which will eliminate the call sign since October 1953, WCIN.

January 21, 2010- Entertainment Media Trust closes on its purchase of WFFX, East St. Louis (1490) from Simmons Media for $450,000.00.
